     Lieutenant Colonel Robert J. Clark


LTC ClarkLieutenant Colonel Robert J. Clark was commissioned in the Army Corps of Engineers in June 1995. Prior to his assignment as the Commander of the 46th Engineer Battalion, LTC Clark served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO), Washington D.C.

His previous assignments include: Platoon Leader, 2nd Engineer Battalion, Camp Castle, Korea; Brigade Maintenance Officer, Engineer Brigade, 3ID, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Company Executive Officer and Battalion S-4, 10th Engineer Battalion, Fort Stewart; Georgia; Assistant S-3, 864th Engineer Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington; Company Commander, 14th Engineer Battalion, Fort Lewis, Washington; Company Trainer (OC/T) and Battalion Executive Officer, 3-364th Engineer Battalion, Ft. Lewis, Washington; Facilities and Construction Chief, CJTF-82, 82nd ABN DIV, Afghanistan; and Battalion Operations Officer (S-3) and Executive Officer (XO), 4BSTB, 82nd ABN DIV, Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

His deployments include Operation Iraq Freedom I in 2003 as a Company Commander in the 14th Engineer Battalion, Operation Enduring Freedom VIII, from 2007 to 2008, as the CJTF-82 Facilities and Construction Chief and Operation Enduring Freedom X, from 2009 to 2010, as the BSTB Executive Officer for 4th BCT, 82nd Airborne Division.

LTC Clark earned a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and a Masters Degree in Management from Websters University. He is also a graduate of the Army Command and General staff College, Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas and both the Engineer Captain's Career Course (ECCC) and the Engineer Officer Basic Course (EOBC), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.

LTC Clark's military awards and decorations include: Bronze Star with 1OLC, Meritorious Service Medal with 2 OLCs, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal with 1OLC, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal with 2 OLCs, , National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (3), NATO Medal and parachute badge.
