THE BATTALION CREST IS GREEN AND GOLD, THE COLORS OF THE MILITARY POLICE CORPS. 

THE GREEN ORIENTAL STONE GARDEN LANTERN IS OF THE TYPE USED IN THE RYUKYUS ISLANDS OF OKINAWA AND REPRESENTS HONORABLE SERVICE BY THE BATTALION THERE. 

THE WAVY GREEN BORDER AT THE BOTTOM IS SYMBOLIC OF THE BATTALION’S PARTICIPATION IN THE AMPHIBIOUS LANDING ON THE BEACHES OF OKINAWA IN APRIL 1945. 

THE MOTTO “SERVICE TO THE TROOPS” WAS THE MISSION OF THE 519TH MILITARY POLICE BATTALION IN OKINAWA.
