Army Family Action Plan The Army Family Action
Plan (AFAP)
symposium identifies issues of concern to America’s Army that
add or detract from the Army quality of life. It is the commander’s tool for
directing action to improve family programs, services, benefits and entitlements
for America’s Army families. The Army Family Action Plan is a grass roots process that directs actions to enhance readiness and increase retention by improving the qualitiy of life for Soldiers and their Families. It identifies issues of concern to the total Army Family. It determines actions necessary to resolve issues and assigns responsibility for actions to the proper Army staff agency. WHEN IS THE AFAP CONFERENCE HELD? AFAP Conferences are conducted annually at Army installations. This year's conference will be held at Army Community Service on the 15th and 16th of October 2008. WHO ATTENDS? The total Army community is invited. HOW CAN I BE INVOVLED IN THE PROCESS? All members of the Fort Polk community are welcome to participate! Call 531-9421 or come by the Family Readiness Center. Use the AFAP Form link listed below to submit an AFAP Issue:
