DEPLOYMENT/MOBILIZATION READINESS (DMR)
is designed to support active and reserve component Soldiers and their Families, providing guidance and assistance to Family members in their volunteer leadership roles within the Family Readiness Group and support the command in maintaining an atmosphere of family well being..  All activities promote self-development, self-reliance and resiliency during times of mobilization and deployment and foster teamwork in the total Army.

FAMILY READINESS GROUPS (FRG) Under the provisions of JRTC and Fort Polk Regulation 20-2, Organizational Inspection Program,  FRGs are required to be registered with ACS, with lists of points of contact. These lists are to be updated semiannually, or as changes occur.

Quarterly training is conducted for spouses of Company/Troop Commanders, First Sergeants and Family Readiness Group Leaders. Topics covered include:

a. Family Readiness Group Leadership Training

b. Point of Contact Training

c. Family Readiness Group Treasurer Training

d. Care Team Training

e. Rear Detachment Commanders Training

Participation in this seminar provides an excellent networking opportunity for Family Readiness Group Leaders.

Predeployment Briefings, a major function  of  DMR, are conducted prior to unit departure. Family member participation is strongly encouraged in this event.  Handbooks are provided with deployment information and resource materials for youth are available.

Family Readiness Group Desk side Briefings, as well as training for Family Readiness Group contact persons, are provided upon request. Ideas for group functions and speaker references are available.
