        To those new to Fort Polk,  we believe you will find living here a very rewarding experience for you and your family.  We look forward to assisting you through our many programs and services.  You may wish to use our Lending Locker, Relocation Assistance Program, Family Member Employment Assistance Program,  and/or Outreach Services to help make your move smoother.  Take advantage of our superb family education through the Family Advocacy Program, and our skilled financial counselors and educators in our Financial Readiness Program.  The Army Family Team Building Program and Family Support Training offer classes to assist you in your adjustment to military life  and leadership.  You may also wish to volunteer to help in any of these programs.  Participation by you in our community will make living and working in it worthwhile.  I urge you and your family to participate and enjoy this community that is better known as the "Best Little Home Town in the Army." 

     Please make a point to attend the Newcomers' Orientation held in the Main ACS Center, Bldg 920, 1591 Bell Richard Ave, held each Thursday, except January and July. Registration begins at 0800.
