Description: |
American Red Cross Station at Fort Polk / Joint Readiness Training Center serves many different missions throughout the base. The primary mission is to support the Armed Forces in the line of Emergency Communications by providing 24/7 emergency communication service to the military families whether they are stationed at Fort Polk, training with JRTC or deployed. The station also works with the Command and clinics at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, Dental Clinics and Veterinary Clinic to provide a volunteer program which help support service members, their families and veteran's of our community. Two Locations on Post: BJACH Rms 5109/5110 and Soldier and Family Assistance Center (SFAC), BLDG 220.

Army One Source is a 24-hour, seven days a week toll free information and referral telephone line and internet/Web based service available to active duty, mobilized reservists, deployed civilians and their families worldwide. Army One Source provides information ranging from every day concerns to deployments/reintegration issues. You can call the service, email a consultant or you can go online whenever it is convenient for you. No matter where you or your family are in the US or overseas. The phones are answered live by qualified consultants and you never get an automated phone tree. Telephonic access is at no cost to you or your family members. Assistance is provided by a masters’ level staff and a research team is available to provide you with customized information for your unique needs.

The Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), outlined in Army Regulation 608-75, works in concert with other military and civilian agencies to offer a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach for medical, social, educational, community support, or services for Soldiers and their Family Members with special physical, emotional, or intellectual needs. ACS EFMP components include information, referral, client advocacy, Family-find activities, recreational, cultural programs and respite care, when the need has been assessed.
