Description:

Community Policing (CP) is committed to interacting with the public in non-crisis situations, thereby meeting a wide variety of people subsequently tapping into a substantial resource to share crime control efforts. Each officer is assigned a primary and secondary neighborhood. Neighborhoods are closely monitored by officers conducting consistent but unpredictable walking patrols. Officers on foot accost and encourage concerned residence to be forth coming with concerns and issues. Officers specialize in detecting things that are abnormal or inconsistent with in the neighborhoods. Volunteers from each community also participate in a beat management program acting as an extension of law enforcement awareness. Persons involved in the program gather all non-emergency information and relinquish same to their assigned CP Officer. All emergency situations are to be reported to the Provost Marshall Office (PMO). CP officers may be contacted during day light hours (7) seven days a week through neighborhood offices or through PMO.

Corvias Military Living's number one priority is accomodating our Families and creating a sense of connection and community. Here at Fort Polk we have five neighborhoods, each with their own staff who are dedicated and passionate about meeting our resident's needs. Our neighborhoods have their own center, which provides exclusive amenities for our residents, such as laundry facilities, personal gyms, family swimming pools, media and entertainment centers, beautifully landscaped playgrounds, walking trails, and a bark park. Numerous resident's activities throughout the year provide families the opportunity to meet new people, and to spend quality time with Family, friends, and neighbors, and make lasting memories.
