ACAP Pre-Separation Briefings

Description:

The Pre-separation Brief should be completed no later than 90 days prior to your separation date. Soldiers are eligible to attend this brief 1 year from an ETS date of 2 years from a retirement date. Soldiers who are separating under a Chapter or Medical Board should attend this brief as soon as the Medical Board process begins or after the Chapter is initiated. Soldiers may log on to https://www.acapexpress.army.mil or call or stop by the center to register and schedule an appointment to attend the Pre-separation Brief. An appointment is necessary as seats are limited.

Disabled Transition Assistance Program (DTAP) is an integral component of transition assistance that involves intervention on behalf of service members who may be released because of a disability or who believe they have a disability qualifying them for VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program. The goal of DTAP is to encourage and assist potentially eligible service members in making an informed decision about VA Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program. It is also intended to facilitate the expeditious delivery of vocational rehabilitation services to eligible persons by assisting them in filing an application for vocational rehabilitation benefits.
