CSM RONALD SEMERENA

CSM Ronald Semerena hails from Lincoln, Nebraska. He enlisted in the United States Army on 4 August, 1983 and was awarded the MOS of 19D Cavalry Scout upon completion of OSUT at Ft. Knox, KY.

CSM Semerena’s military education includes all four NCOES schools, the First Sergeants Course, Instructor Training Course, Bradley Master Gunner Course, Recruiter Course, Pathfinder Course, Anti-Terrorism/ Force Protection Course, Battle Staff Course, Joint Professional Military Education Course, US Army Combative Course, and the CSM Pre-Command Course. He currently holds an Associates Degree in Administrative Management from Excelsior College and is nearly complete with his Bachelor’s degree in Health Science with a Certificate in Disaster and Emergency Management, from Trident University.

CSM Semerena’s assignments include overseas tours in Germany (4th CAV, 3rd ID), Korea (7th CAV, 2nd ID), Iraq (2nd ACR, 4/10 MTN DIV) and Afghanistan (4/10 MTN DIV). His CONUS assignments include Ft. Knox, KY (5th CAV); Ft. Polk, LA (5th ID, 2nd ACR, JRTC, 4/10 MTN DIV); Ft. Hood, TX (2nd Armored DIV); and Owensboro, KY (USAREC).

His former duties include assignments as an Instructor, Squad Leader, Section Sergeant, Troop Master Gunner, S2 Operations Sergeant, Field Recruiter, Platoon Sergeant, S3 Operations Sergeant, Regimental Master Gunner, First Sergeant, NCOA Deputy Commandant, and Operations Sergeant Major, and the Command Sergeant Major for the 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment, and Ft. Polk, LA. He is currently the Command Sergeant Major of the United States Army Garrison Fort Polk.
