Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS)

Mission: DPTMS identifies, manages and coordinates the required resources for training to include land and airspace management; conducts operations to execute missions directed by higher headquarters in support of plans and policies; and provides staff oversight for Anti-Terrorism / Force Protection and Operational Security (OPSEC). Manages Personnel, Industrial, and Information Security, as well as Security Education and Training. The DPTMS contains four divisions: Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security.

Plans & Operations Division, DPTMS

Mission: Responsible for preparing and coordinating operational, emergency, disaster, force protection, and special plans, policies, and directives for the assigned/attached organizations and tenant units. Develops, manages, executes, and supervises/monitors the installation Operations Security (OPSEC) Program, and the Global Command and Control System-Army (GCCS-A) which includes reporting of mobilization, deployment, employment, and readiness in peacetime and crisis situations.

Hours of Operation: 0800-1630 during normal work days. During a time of Mobilization, duty hours are extended as required to meet mission.

Training Support Division

Mission: The Training Support Division provides Training Aids, Devices, Simulations and Simulators (TADSS) and a full Visual Information VI department with Graphic, Self-help, Photography services, Broadcasting, Multimedia services, Presentation Support for the enhancement of the training of Fort Polk & JRTC soldiers, National Guard, Army Reserve and ROTC in the AR5-9 area of support. The services include Miles, standard and non-standard training devices, Graphic Training Aids (GTAs) and Simulation Facilities. Highlighted in the simulations is the newly installed Engagement Skills Trainer (EST2000). The Training Services also provide a facility at a satellite location in Camp Shelby, MS.

Training Support at Fort Polk is currently located in two locations, 4416 Training Support Center, off Louisiana Ave, near the back entrance of LA10.

Mobilization Office, Plans & Operations Division, DPTMS

Mission: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the mobilization of Reserve Component units with Fort Polk designated as their Mobilization Station. Serve as the Installation Point of Contact for mobilization.

Hours of Operation: 0800-1630 during normal work days. During a time of Mobilization, duty hours are extended as required to meet mission.

Security and Intelligence Division

Mission: Coordinate and manage the Personnel Security and Security Awareness Education Training (SAET) programs requirements for the Fort Polk units and activities and provide Garrison organizations with Industrial and Information security program requirements and guidance to support the mission.  Provide support to deploying and redeploying units; and during their reset mission. Provide staff supervision and oversight of the security clearance requirements for the Foreign Service Force-Transition Team's mission.

DPTMS/Range Branch

Mission: Provide support to JRTC and assigned units with facilities necessary to accomplish both live fire and maneuver training exercises. Ensure safe conduct of training, IAW Army and local regulations and policies. Develop, coordinate and implement the five-year range training land program as outlined in AR 210-21.

DPTMS/Airfield Operations

Mission: Support the Joint Readiness Training Center and Fort Polk, power projection, combat readiness and mission execution; provides quality services  through airfield operations, air traffic control tower, radar approach control, and ATC maintenance facilities; optimizes airfield and airspace resources; sustains the environment; and, promote and  enhance the well-being of Fort Polk communities and all users of Polk Army Airfield and or the surrounding airspace delegated to Polk approach by the FAA.

Hours of operation: ATC 24/7, Refuel 24/7, Aircraft Maintenance, 24/7, Airfield Flight Operations: 0600-2200 Local; Monday - Friday; Closed Weekend & Holidays.
