Army Regulation 190-5 and Louisiana Revised Statute's all operators of motor vehicles are required to possess a valid operator's permit, proof of liabilty insurance and a valid vehicle registration. Failure to do so may result in your detention, issuance of a traffic citation or seizure of your vehicle. |

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident, you are required by Law to notify the local Police agency regardless of the severity of damage. If you were operating a military vehicle(tactical or non-tactical) when the accident occurred you are also required to notify the Fort Polk Police Desk, and obtain the information needed to complete a SF 91 (Motor Vehicle Accident Report) |

Motorcycles: All personnel operating or riding on motorcycles are required to wear the following safety equipment: D.O.T. Approved Helmet D.O.T. Approved Eyewear Gloves Long Sleeve Shirts Long Pants Over the Ankle Approved Footwear During hours of limited visibility a reflectorized vest or p.t. belt are required. During daylight Hours a flourescent yellow, green or orange outer garment is required.
