CSM Steven L. Campbell was born and raised in Apopka, Florida. He enlisted in the Army on 9 April January 1993 as an Infantryman.

CSM Campbell attended One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA, and has served in every leadership position from Rifle Team Leader to Command Sergeant’s Major.

CSM Campbell’s assignments include 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, Savannah, GA, 75th Ranger Regiment, Fort Benning, GA, 2nd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, JBLM, WA, 1 Corp, JBLM, WA, 4th Ranger Training Battalion, Fort Benning, GA, 4th BCT, 101st Airborne (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY, 2nd Battalion, 173rd Infantry Regiment ABN, Vicenza, IT, 1st Squadron 33rd Cavalry, 3rd BCT (187th Infantry Regiment) 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY, CSM Campbell has deployed in support of Operation Uphold Democracy, Haiti, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Resolute Support, and Kosovo (KFOR 22).

Military and Civilian Education: CSM Campbell has completed all level of NCOES to include the USASMA , class 63. CSM Campbell holds a Bachelor degree in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice from Troy State.
