The Fort Polk Museum offers the post's history 1940 to present day, highlighting the Louisiana Maneuvers and Vietnam War era "Tiger Land". Visitors can view the indoor galleries or see the historical tanks on the outdoor grounds. More vehicle exhibits are available at Warrior Memorial Park. The staff offers tours upon request. Admission is free.

The museum's hours of operation are 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and closed Federal Holidays. The museum is located on Fort Polk at Building 927, 7881 Mississippi Avenue, next door to the Bayou Movie Theater. Visitors arriving from the main gate drive past University Parkway to the next traffic light at Mississippi Avenue, and turn right. The museum is about a quarter mile down, on the right.
